Fellowship for women doing PhDs in Kenya(The Mawazo PhD Scholars Programme)

The Mawazo PhD Scholars programme is a one-year, non-residential fellowship aimed at women pursuing PhD studies at Kenyan universities. The goal of this programme is to build a strong pipeline of future researchers who are prepared to ask insightful questions about African development, and effectively communicate their results to both government and industry leaders and the general public. We welcome applications from women in any academic discipline, with a preference for research projects focused on development-related topics, and using social science research methods.

Call for applications for PhD Scholarship in Epigenetics and Bioinformatics at the University of Rwanda and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Researchers from the University of Rwanda and the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign have been awarded an NIH-U01MH115485 research grant for working on transgenerational epigenomics of trauma and PTSD in Rwanda.

PTSD is a common and debilitating mental disorder that has a profound public health impact.
