Dr. Charles Kabwete Mulinda is Associate Professor at the University of Rwanda and Acting Head of the Department of History and Heritage Studies. He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Institute of National Museums of Rwanda.
Charles completed his PhD in History in 2010 at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. He has also studied courses and done internship programmes in Belgium, USA and France.
Dr. Charles Kabwete Mulinda has published extensively on Rwandan history, democracy in Africa, China – Africa relations and genocide studies. His area of expertise includes history, African studies, genocide studies, reconciliation, history of cooperatives and education of women. He is currently pursuing a postdoctoral research programme at the School of Global Studies, University of Gothenburg.
“My focus is on reconciliation processes in Rwanda. During my stay at the University of Gothenburg, I will be writing my third paper, and working on the supervision of one PhD student from Rwanda,” says Dr. Charles Kabwete Mulinda.
