Tuesday november 17,2020, RBC through Kabutare hospital conducted free covid19 test within Southern province schools and University of Rwanda -Huye Campus . In UR Huye total of 105 students and some staff were tested as sample.
In UR Huye campus, students and staff who have been tested covid-19 said that they are happy for this action because it will help them to find out how their health is , regarding the covid 19 pandemic and being more vigilant out of it.
“It is very important to us as students. From now, we are going to know our health status and help us to continue our studies but keeping in our mind that the Covid 19 preventions because it is still existing”.
There is a time you have confusion whether you are positive or negative of covid 19 but you don’t know , with this test we will know where we stand out covid 19.
Theresie Nyirahabimana, the Director of Students welfare at UR Huye Campus says that conducting Covid-19 to students and staff is very crucial for them as university of Rwanda community and it is going to help them be more cautious to this pandemic in this time they are preparing to receive the year one and two students.
“Covid 19 is still there, so this free covid 19 test to UR-Huye students and staff is very important. So it will help us figure out not only students but also to our staff.”
UR Huye top management said that laboratory results showed that all 105 tested covid 19 cases at UR - Huye Campus were found negative
