The University of Rwanda in collaboration with French Belgium Universities has a funding from ARES-CCD (Académie de Recherche et d’Enseignement Supérieur), for raising human capacity in the area of life sciences, including areas related to natural sciences, biology, chemistry, agriculture and medicine. We need to use part of this funding to give an opportunity to one PhD student of the University of Rwanda to visit any Belgium French University for research purpose. PhD students registered under UR most of the times do not have any source of funding to conduct research, visit experienced universities and go to conferences. Therefore, we need to give an opportunity to such PhD students to visit any Belgium University where he will be in contact with experienced academics, laboratory, and library. Additionally, successful applicant will also be given a small research fund (5500 Euro) to be used for research or provide him minor equipment needed for his/her doctoral activities, in Rwanda.
